Welcome To Consumer Credit Outlet
Since our inception in 2004, we have become one of the leading providers of consumer lending information on the internet with a database of close to 150 different credit cards from major issuers. All credit cards on our website contain apply buttons which redirect you to secure servers of the respective issuers. All applications over these servers are processed with 128 bit or higher technology for your protection. In addition to credit card comparisons, we have recently added different providers of credit reports
and credit monitoring services.

Over the past year with the tightened lending standards it has become increasingly difficult for consumers to obtain credit. Because of this, it is more important than ever for people to be aware of where they stand from a lender's perspective. The most effective manner to do this is to periodically check your credit score from all three credit bureaus. There are many services available to do this instantly online, some with a fee, and some without. Our suggestion is to examine all services available, and then select the one that best suits your needs. If you are familiar with the ins and outs of credit reports and credit scores, you may jump to our 3 bureau credit report section which highlights which services are currently available online.

Credit Reports

The 3 credit bureaus are comprised of Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. All are independent companies that provide credit profiles that lenders check when consumers apply for a mortgage, credit card, or other loan. As a consumer, it is important to have all of the facts before applying for a financial product, so knowledge of your personal scores from all 3 bureaus is advised. Your credit scores are determined by several factors, including number of open accounts, payment history, potential debt, number of hard pulls to your credit report, and other elements of your credit history.

It is a good idea to check credit reports from all 3 credit bureaus periodically to see where you stand. In addition to your credit score, the report aspect from each provider is equally as important. By checking your credit report, you may determine whether you deem your score to be accurate by viewing items on your report to make sure there has been no fraudulent activity. Though we feel that the identity theft problem has been blown out of proportion, it does exist and viewing your credit reports and/or signing up for credit monitoring services is a good idea if you believe that your information has been compromised.

Obtaining Credit Reports & Credit Scores From All 3 Credit Bureaus:

Though there are several different way to obtain your credit reports online, it is our recommendation to go with a company that bundles all 3 in an easy to read online interface. Currently, there are several of these available, but we have determined that Identity Guard is the leader of the pack. They provide absolutely free 3 bureau credit reports and credit scores from all three bureaus: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. In addition, you will receive credit monitoring free for 30-days. If you wish to continue this service after the introductory period, you may do so for $14.99. In our opinion, this is the easiest and most efficient means of checking your credit report and credit score online.

Credit Report Options From Specific Credit Bureaus:

You may access your Experian credit report online through their service www.freecreditreport.com where you may also receive a 7-day trial for their credit monitoring service, Experian Triple Advantage. For an additional fee you may also obtain your reports from Equifax and TransUnion. This is a very ubiquitous offer as it is advertised virtually everywhere from television to NASCAR stock car racing.

If you would just like your Equifax credit report you may also go directly to the source and sign up for Equifax Credit Watch Gold which grants access to your score and report from Equifax as well as their credit monitoring service. This service comes at a cost but also provides a relatively painless customer support number where you may contest or dispute inaccuracies to your Equifax credit report.

Transunion credit report options are available at TrueCredit.com which is a service provided by TransUnion which monitors activity on your TransUnion profile. This comes with a monthly fee and is good for those who are in need of just their TransUnion score and report. With this service, as with those from the other 2 bureaus, you may dispute inaccuracies to your report.

Apply for a Credit Card

Cashback credit card offers allow consumers to receive up to 5% cashback on purchases made with their card. The amount of cashback varies depending on the type of rewards program and where the purchases are made. Most, if not all cashback credit cards come with 0% introductory terms with low annual percentage rates thereafter depending on your credit history.

0 APR credit card deals are credit cards that come with interest free terms of up to 12 months. The annual percentage rate for this term is 0, which means that as a cardholder, you may spend without accruing any interest. It is very important to use your 0 apr credit card wisely, as at the end of the interest free term, interest will begin to be charged.

Balance transfer credit card offers are those which allow you to transfer balances online from one credit card to another. Many of these deals offer 0% apr terms for your balance transfer as well as no balance transfer fees. In addition, free enrollment in rewards programs are also available with balance transfer credit cards. Select a balance transfer credit card with no interest for 6 to 12 months and apply online for approval.

Student credit card - In order to qualify for one of these offers, you must be enrolled in some type of educational institution. Student credit cards are geared to people between the ages of 18-25 who are looking to establish their credit history while finishing their education. It is very important to use new student credit cards wisely as to prevent long-term credit damage. It is also strongly suggested to apply for student credit cards with 0% introductory terms.

Business credit cards allow owners to establish credit for their small business as well as provide spending power to jump-start or expand new or existing operations. If you are a sole proprietor or a small business owner, you may apply online for a business credit card. You will be asked for information such as your EIN (federal tax ID) as well as your SSN when you apply online for a business credit card.

Instant approval credit card - If you need credit immediately, or if you are a person that would like to know if you are approved immediately, you may want to consider applying for an instant credit card. These offers provide notification under 60 seconds as to the status of your application and whether or not you are approved, hence the name instant approval credit card.

Travel credit card offers are those which provide points earned on purchases redeemable for either cruises, airline tickets, vacations, and more. There are two types of travel credit cards, general travel and airline credit cards. The main difference between these two offers is that airline specific credit cards only allow you to travel on the corresponding airline and their partners where with general travel credit cards there is more flexibility.

Gas credit card - Increasingly popular due to the fluctuation of fuel prices, gas rebate or gas credit cards have emerged as the most sought after rewards offers. These credit cards offer up to 5% cashback on fuel purchases and 0% introductory terms. Though there are several different options, it is highly recommended that one carries a general gas credit card that you may use at any station rather than station specific cards in order to maximize savings.

Citi credit cards are geared toward people who are looking for a low apr offer with rewards and platinum status. Some of their offers also provide no balance transfer fees as well as 0% terms for transfers. These are good deals because typical transfer fees are 3% of the total balance.
American Express credit cards are suited for those with good to excellent credit. American Express offers two different types of offers, charge cards and credit cards. With charge cards, you must pay your balance in full every month; and with credit cards, you may pay over time.
Discover credit cards come with 0% introductory terms and low interest rates. The common misconception is that this brand is not accepted in many places. The truth is that Discover credit cards are accepted virtually everywhere and their cashback credit cards are some of the best on the market offering up to 5% cashback on purchases.
